It all started in September of 2013...

Aubrey is just beginning graduate school and living in her own little spot close to the PSU campus and Eric is working at Lucero Olive Oil and living in downtown Portland. Both are single and happy, just enjoying being 25 in the great city of Portland. One day, as grad school is quickly approaching, Aubs' friend Gwen convinces her to join a new dating app to embrace the young dating scene of downtown Portland. Days later Aubs and Eric "swipe right" and have their first date at a quiet little Asian-fusion bar in northeast Portland, and after talking for 4 straight hours, which we now know is a huge deal for Eric, they were hooked and found out they lived 8 blocks from each other. That first week, Aubs and Eric made plans, going on three dates in 5 days...and by the end of the third date, they felt sure this was the real deal. The love continued to blossomed over the course of the next couple of years and countless bowls of pho, especially as they began to conquer some of their big dreams - Eric opened his first restaurant in August 2014, and Aubrey graduated with her masters in Speech Language Pathology the next June. The two have travelled the world, and in March 2016 in the rice paddies of Vietnam, Eric asked Aubrey if she'd like to continue this adventure together for the rest of their lives. (She said yes!!) So, this is what happens when a vegan and a hunter "swipe right." Aubs and Eric fell totally in love and, three and a half years since that first date, are so so excited to tie the knot forever.
